Lake Eustis Youth Sailing Foundation (LEYSF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable educational organization dedicated to encourage children and teens (age 8-18) to experience the joy of sailing, teach essential boat handling skills, seamanship, water safety and race in a safe fun environment. We are very fortunate and grateful to use the facilities at Lake Eustis Sailing Club.The youth sailing program offers a range of classes – Beginner, Intermediate / PreRace/ Advanced, High School Race Team. Sailors are continuously evaluated on the water to ensure that they are learning the necessary skills to progress to the next level. Our courses incorporate standards from the US Sailing and our Instructors are US Sailing certified. LEYSF primarily uses Optimists, Lasers and 420’s for instruction; the boat used depends on the students’ ability and physical size.Classes are held on Saturdays from Sept thru May.
