Activity description

The Charles H. Bronson State Forest is located in northeast Orange County off Lake Pickett Road and is managed by the Florida Forest Service. The State Forest was a joint acquisition with Orange County, the State of Florida, and the St. Johns River Water Management District. The parcel is approximately 4608 acres in size and the types of habitats found on the parcel include Freshwater Marsh, improved pasture, Oak Hammock, Pine Flatwoods, Cypress Domes and Sloughs, and Floodplain of the St. Johns River. The parcel is adjacent to Seminole Ranch Conservation Area, Orlando Wetlands Park, and the Geneva Wilderness Area.
